Community Partnerships Coordinator
The Office of Service-Learning (OSL) is looking for an energetic, conscientious, and self-directed professional to coordinate and expand an after-school literacy and sports coaching program. The successful candidate will have a unique professional opportunity to provide essential leadership for expanding a community after-school program that can serve as a model throughout the state to enrich literacy instruction and provide increased access to youth sports programs.
Primary responsibilities include the following key activities:
- Coordinating all aspects of after-school program.
- Managing student workers.
- Facilitating UGA service-learning projects and recruiting UGA student volunteers.
- Developing and delivering training and preparation for UGA students involved in the after-school program.
- Working with internal and external partners to evaluate program success.

AmeriCorps Community Food Fellow (900-Hour)
Funded by an AmeriCorps State grant, the AmeriCorps Community Food Fellows (CFF) program is a new, multi-year initiative of the Office of Service-Learning. The CFF initiative annually supports a cohort of about 20 members who each commit to provide up to 900 hours of service with on-campus and off-campus partner organizations focused on food insecurity, food production, and food waste. Service runs from the beginning of September to the end of July each year.
Fellows learn about and serve with organizations such as Concrete Jungle, Athens Community Council on Aging, Marigold Collective, Campus Kitchen, UGArden, Farm2Neighborhood, the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, City of Refuge, Our Daily Bread, the School Garden Network, Shell to Shore, and more!

Funded by an AmeriCorps State grant, the Community Food Fellows (CFF) program is a new, multi-year initiative of the Office of Service-Learning. The CFF initiative annually supports a cohort of about 20 members who each commit to provide service with on-campus and off-campus partner organizations focused on food insecurity, food production, and food waste. There is also a limited number of quarter-time (450 hours) positions available for this cycle that runs from the beginning of September to the end of July.
