Faculty members at UGA are key stakeholders in helping develop and teach service-learning courses, conducting community-engaged research, and creating new community partnerships.
The Office of Service-Learning supports faculty in a number of ways, including providing both short-term and longer-term professional development opportunities through the Service-Learning Fellows program, customized consultations, and our workshop series. The OSL also offers “just in time” funding support for new service-learning initiatives, as well as for transportation off campus and for supporting community partners who guest-lecture for service-learning classes.
