Brad Turner serves as the Campus Kitchen Coordinator where he facilitates the student-powered food recovery and redistribution initiative at UGA. Prior to assuming the coordinator role, Brad served as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer for the Campus Kitchen at UGA. He's excited to be combating the apathy towards hunger though working with students and community leaders. Brad is a 2015 graduate of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia and a Williamsburg, VA native. In his time at CNU, he co-founded a food recovery organization, served as an alternative spring break trip leader, and was a captain of the varsity cross country team. He graduated with Latin honors with a degree in American Studies and a minor in Civic Engagement and Social Entrepreneurship. While he is undecided on a graduate field of study, he is very interested in database management, public relations, and volunteer management. You'll often find Brad running the streets of Athens or sampling Mexican cuisine. He dreams of playing tuba in a rebirth brass band and he hopes to travel to New Zealand.
