We are using this feature right now for Campus Kitchen deliveries. Volunteers must use a code to sign up. 11:18:38 From Magda Matuskova to Shannon Wilder (Privately) : Hi Shannon, I am wondering if the UGA COVID 19 task force have any need for bilingual services (Spanish translation/interpreting). Magda 11:19:11 From Shannon Wilder to Magda Matuskova (Privately) : Magda, that is something that has come up numerous times. Would be very interested in talking with you about this. 11:19:53 From Carol Britton Laws : I am wondering if anyone has best practices in online mentoring to share with students. I am moving my class from in-person (onsite) to online mentoring. Thanks! 11:19:57 From Magda Matuskova to Shannon Wilder (Privately) : excellent. I will email you my phone number or we can connect via zoom. 11:20:11 From Shannon Wilder to Magda Matuskova (Privately) : Great! Thank you so much. 11:21:00 From Cecilia Herles : I’m scheduled to teach two service-learning courses over the summer. One is a Maymester and another is Freshman College in July. Do you have suggestions for possible online partners to line up for the summer? Thanks for your support and putting together these resources! 11:21:20 From Katherine Adams : Did anyone create an e-SL course that was not originally a F-2-F course, and if so, how did you balance online pedagogy with quality inclusion of SL? 11:22:01 From Eleanor Lanier : I have mediators who are unable to work in court. we would like to offer their assistance to resolve disputes arising from sheltering in place. Let me know if you have idea- we use zoom to conduct online sessions. 11:22:37 From Magda Matuskova : I am wondering how to proceed with students who were not very active with their SL hours and were waiting for the end and now they have significantly less hours than their peers. 11:23:14 From Carol Britton Laws : Thank you, Melissa. Your guidelines could be helpful. 11:23:37 From mlpotts : Carol--I will send the rubrics to you. 11:24:29 From Cecilia Herles : Thanks so much, Josh! I appreciate it. 11:25:28 From mlpotts : I am also teaching a Freshco S-L course so would love to be in on the conversation about potential community partners for this summer (that is...if the Freshco classes are a 'go') 11:25:32 From Paul Matthews : pmatthews@uga.edu 11:25:51 From mlpotts : mlpotts@uga.edu 11:26:14 From Aly : Thank you everyone for this -- wonderful/valuable presentation 11:27:16 From Elizabeth Davis : Cecilia, also check in with the Archway Partnership. I’ve been essentially doing “online” service learning with them for years because the communities they work with are largely rural and most are more than an hour away from Athens. So my students have been doing remote work with community partners and it’s still a good experience. It would also be great for FC because it would introduce students to UGA’s outreach to the state. Just a thought. Gotta run - off to another Zoom meeting! But thanks, everyone! 11:28:52 From Cecilia Herles : Thanks so much, Elizabeth! This is helpful! 11:29:48 From Shannon Wilder : That’s a great suggestion, Elizabeth! There are also other Public Service Units that would be good partners as well. I will be happy to follow-up with those directors and see if there are projects that would be a good fit. 11:31:34 From Carol Britton Laws : Thank you for this! 11:31:43 From Sarah Shannon : Great stuff, thanks! 11:31:57 From Andrew : Thanks Paul and team; really appreciate it! 11:31:58 From Shannon Wilder : Thanks to Melissa and Kathy for sharing their work and experience! 11:32:01 From Eleanor Lanier : Thank you, this was very helpful! 11:32:02 From rgokee : Thank you so much for the informative presentation!! 11:32:03 From Katherine Adams : Thank you so much! 11:32:13 From Sarah Shannon : If anyone wants to save the chat text you can push the button with three dots in the bottom right. 11:32:18 From Cecilia Herles : This was helpful and thanks again to all! 11:32:23 From Taesik Yun : Thanks everyone!
