Drake Smith

AmeriCorps VISTA - UGArden

Drake Smith is the AmeriCorps VISTA for UGArden, where he is serving as the volunteer coordinator. This year, he will be focusing on building the capacity of UGArden’s position as a food hub in the Athens-Clarke County area as well as educating the community on food systems sustainability. He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a B.S in environmental biology and from the University of Georgia with a Master’s of Natural Resources that is concentrated on environmental education. He is passionate about environmental justice and conservation of natural resources and is thrilled to help educate others on sustainability.
