Wes Mayer is the Communications Specialist for the Office of Service-Learning and the Office of Instruction.
In the Office of Service-Learning, Wes manages and gathers content for the website and monthly newsletter, including writing stories about the OSL’s staff, programs and relationships in the community along with highlighting service-learning courses at UGA. Please reach out to him if you have any service-learning story ideas or would like to suggest he highlight a service-learning course at UGA.
Wes graduated from the University of Georgia in 2013 with a degree in journalism and returned to UGA to complete his Master of Education in English Education in 2022. In his career, Wes has covered public safety stories at the Newnan Times-Herald in Newnan, Georgia and managed internal communications and social media at Zoo Atlanta.
